EXAM - 2.5 hours

The final 2.5-hour certification exam must be completed online within the week following the session through the Learning Center.

What is the iBwave Certification Program?

The iBwave Certification Program (iCP) provides active learning to facilitate best practices using the iBwave Product Suite. It gives students the opportunity to validate and master the latest design techniques from conception to deployment using our product suite and gives them industry recognized credentials that increase their value in the marketplace.

Who should get certified?

iBwave’s Certification Program for iBwave Design and iBwave Wi‑Fi® is designed for wireless and radio system designers, radio network engineers, radio network planners, RF specialists and consultants, radio access network development specialists and RF managers. The iBwave Wi‑Fi® Mobile Certification is intended for technical and installers as well as all others who are interested in the tool. Learn more.

What are the prerequisites for each iBwave Certification Program?

  • For Level 1 certification, you must be familiar with iBwave Design and DAS deployment – take the quiz and verify your knowledge.
  • For Level 2, you must be Level 1 certified.
  • For Level 3, you must be Level 1 and Level 2 certified.
  • For iBwave Wi‑Fi® and iBwave Wi‑Fi® Mobile certifications, no prerequisites are required.

Note: An iBwave trial license and learner account will be included for certification purposes. iBwave Design Enterprise trial license does not run in a virtual environment.

How will I be evaluated and certified?

The certification is evaluated based on a practical exam with passing grade of 75%. The length of the exam depends on the type of certification. For Virtual Class and Online courses, the exams are completed online from within the Learning Center. For Level 1 and 2 in‑class sessions, the exams are completed in‑class at the end of the 3rd day. For Level 3 in‑class sessions, more class time is required for workshops and exercises. Therefore, Level 3 exams are completed online.

How do I register?

Use our certification schedule registration and choose to pay with your company’s master account or instantly via online store.

What happens if I don’t have the applicable iBwave license for my laptop, computer or mobile device?

You can contact Training to make arrangements.

What do I do if I fail the exam?

If you fail the exam, you have the option of retaking it once for a fee. If you fail the retake exam, you will need to attend/follow the course again.

Do we have access to an electronic copy of the student manual?

An online manual is included in the Learning Center for most certification courses. When included, it is available for 1 year from the date of course activation.

How do I contact iBwave for support during the online training program?

Training support is provided from Monday to Friday, between 9AM and 5PM EST – contact Training.

Limited support for license issues and course extensions are provided on Saturday and Sunday, and Monday to Friday between 5PM and 9AM EST – contact support@ibwave.com (emails will be addressed within 24 hours)

What is the refund policy?

How long is the online program?

Online certification programs, can be started at the student’s discretion. Once it is activated (started) students have 30 days to complete the course in their Learning Center account.

Is iBwave Certification accredited by BICSI?

Yes. The iBwave Certification Program is recognized by BICSI for Continuing Education Credits (CECs) and each level accounts for the following number of credits at completion.

  • Design Certified Level 2 (In-Class, Virtual Class, Online) > 18 credits
  • Design Certified Level 3 (In-Class, Virtual Class, Online) > 17 credits

What do I need to bring to class or use during my virtual classroom or online course?

You will need a Wi‑Fi enabled laptop with an active iBwave software license installed. For iBwave Wi‑Fi® Mobile, a mobile device with an active iBwave Wi‑Fi® Mobile application is necessary to complete the final exam. iBwave trial licenses are provided for the certification period.

When will I receive my certificate?

Expect at least two weeks for assessment, after which your electronic certificate will be delivered.

How long is my certificate valid for?

The certificate is valid for 3 years from the day that it is issued. After 3 years, you must recertify in order to maintain the validity of your certification status.
